Power Restoration & Half-Power Issues

Fast diagnosis and repair of complete power outages and half-power conditions caused by utility issues, main breaker failures, or lost neutral connections.

When Half Your House Goes Dark

Half-power issues—where some circuits work while others don't, or where lights dim and appliances run weak—usually point to a lost neutral connection or a failed leg from the utility. These aren't nuisance problems; they can damage electronics, motors, and appliances if left unaddressed.

We diagnose the root cause, coordinate with your utility when needed, and restore full, balanced power to your home or business.

Common Causes We Address

  • Lost neutral at the service entrance – the most frequent cause of half-power
  • Failed main breaker or meter base connection
  • Utility transformer or service drop issues – we liaise with the power company
  • Corroded or loose connections in the panel
  • Storm damage to the service mast or weather head

Our Diagnostic Process

We start with voltage testing at the meter and panel to pinpoint whether the issue is utility-side or customer-side. If it's on your property, we make the repair. If it's the utility's responsibility, we document the problem and help you get it escalated.

Most half-power issues are resolved the same day once the faulty component is identified.

Why Speed Matters

Operating on half power can overheat motors in refrigerators, HVAC systems, and well pumps. It can also fry sensitive electronics. The longer you wait, the more secondary damage you risk.

We respond quickly, carry the parts needed for most service entrance repairs, and work safely around live utility feeds.

How it works

01

Emergency Contact

Call us as soon as you notice half-power, flickering lights, or complete outage. We prioritize power-loss calls.

02

Voltage Testing

We measure voltage at the meter, main panel, and key circuits to pinpoint the fault location.

03

Utility Coordination or Repair

If the problem is utility-side, we document findings and help you escalate. If it's on your property, we make the repair immediately.

04

System Verification

We confirm balanced voltage across both legs, test major appliances, and ensure safe, stable power throughout your home.

Common questions

How do I know if it's a utility problem or my panel?+

We test voltage at the meter. If one leg is missing or low at that point, it's the utility's responsibility. If voltage is good at the meter but not inside, the issue is on your property and we handle the repair.

Can I wait a day or two to get this fixed?+

We don't recommend it. Half-power conditions cause voltage imbalances that can permanently damage refrigerators, AC compressors, and electronics. The sooner it's corrected, the less risk of secondary damage.

Will I need a permit for the repair?+

Most emergency service entrance repairs require a permit and inspection. We pull the permit, make the repair to code, and schedule the inspection so everything is documented properly.
