Ev Charging

EV Charger Installation

Professional Level 2 EV charger installation for your home or business. Properly sized circuits, code-compliant work, and permit handling included.

Fast, Safe Charging at Home

Charging your electric vehicle at home is more convenient and cost-effective than relying on public stations. We install Level 2 EV chargers that deliver a full charge overnight, so you start every day ready to drive.

Every installation starts with a load calculation to ensure your electrical panel can handle the additional demand. If an upgrade is needed, we'll walk you through it before we begin. We pull permits, install the dedicated 240-volt circuit, mount your charger, and coordinate inspections—everything required to get you charging safely and legally.

What's Included

  • Load assessment of your existing electrical panel
  • Dedicated circuit installation (typically 40–60 amp, depending on your charger)
  • Hardwired or outlet installation to match your charger model
  • Permit application and inspection coordination
  • Weatherproof installation for outdoor or garage locations
  • Testing and walkthrough so you understand your new system

We work with all major EV charger brands, including Tesla Wall Connector, ChargePoint Home Flex, JuiceBox, Grizzl-E, and others. Bring your own unit or ask us for recommendations based on your vehicle and charging needs.

Why Proper Installation Matters

EV chargers draw significant continuous load—often more than your dryer or oven. Improper wiring, undersized breakers, or DIY shortcuts create fire hazards and void warranties. We size conductors correctly, use listed components, and follow NEC Article 625 to the letter.

If your panel is full or outdated, we'll discuss upgrade options. Many homes built before 2000 need a service upgrade to safely support EV charging alongside existing loads.

Timeline and Process

Most installations are completed in one day, assuming your panel has capacity and no upgrades are required. Permit and inspection timelines vary by municipality—we handle the scheduling and coordinate with your local building department.

You'll have a functional, inspected charger ready to use, typically within one to two weeks from your initial call.

How it works

01

Site Assessment

We evaluate your electrical panel capacity, charger location, and circuit routing. If a panel upgrade is needed, we'll provide a clear estimate.

02

Permit and Scheduling

We pull the required electrical permit and schedule your installation at a time that works for you.

03

Circuit and Charger Installation

We run the dedicated circuit, install the breaker, mount your charger, and make all connections to code.

04

Inspection and Testing

We coordinate the municipal inspection, test the charger with your vehicle, and walk you through operation.

Common questions

Do I need to upgrade my electrical panel?+

It depends on your current panel capacity and available breaker slots. We perform a load calculation during the site visit. Many newer homes with 200-amp service can add a charger without an upgrade, but older 100-amp panels often need one.

How long does charging take with a Level 2 charger?+

Most EVs gain 25 to 30 miles of range per hour on a 40-amp circuit. A typical overnight charge fully replenishes your battery. Exact times depend on your vehicle's onboard charger and battery size.

Can you install the charger outdoors?+

Yes. We use weatherproof enclosures and NEMA-rated components for outdoor installations. The charger itself must be rated for outdoor use—most modern units are.
